Get Together House is a psychosocial rehabilitation day program who provide group and individual psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery services. To maximise the social and community participation of people with mental illness and psycho-social disability GT House uses a recovery-orientated approach, which focuses on strengths and personal growth.
Services are available to adults aged 16-64 with a mental illness and psychiatric disability, living in the Upper Hume Region of Victoria.
We have a specific Young People's Program offering group and individual activities and support to people aged 16-26 who have mental illness or psychosocial disability. We have the GROOVERS group and the RAPPERS group, both of which offer support and information for participants to increase skills and confidence, and work towards recovery.
The Mix It Up project works to build capacity in our local service system to respond in the most effective way to young people with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse issues.
All participants have an Individual Service Plan (ISP) which is developed with their key worker at GT House. This plan describes the person’s recovery and rehabilitation goals and the groups or programs which the person will undertake at GT House. Programs are run over 4 terms each year.
