Our goals are to promote and achieve the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities by providing services that are responsive to local needs and opportunities and to work with people to help them acquire the skills and knowledge needed to live healthy lives.
The basis on which our direction as an organisation is underpinned; Department of Human Services (DHS) Policy titled “Community Health Services – creating a healthier Victoria”.
To achieve this we work collaboratively with a strong network of health, government and community services in NE Victoria and the Albury/Wodonga region. By working together to develop individual and collective skills, to advocate and formulate healthy policies and develop and secure healthy environments we will achieve a healthier, happier and more productive society. By assessing local and individual needs and being a forward thinking organisation, Gateway Community Health Service will also seize opportunities for innovative action and new partnerships to help better the health and wellbeing of our communities.
Membership is free and available to all members of the community provided they met the following eligibility criteria; - all members must be over 18 years of age and must reside, work or study in the area currently serviced by GCH - City of Wodonga, Shires of Indigo, Towong and the Kiewa valley of Alpine shire.
